Katey Schultz currently lives in Celo, North Carolina and is inspiring people by the day. Schultz is the author of several books including Still Come Home which came out in October of 2019. 

Since Still Come Home was released, Schultz was able to receive several rewards for her book including Apprentice House’s very own Ciofalo Award for book promotion. The Ciofalo Award is presented once annually to an author selected by our editorial team for the specific purpose of off-setting the cost of hiring a publicist.

Schultz was able to receive three outstanding awards for Still Come Home. Those awards include the Military Writers Society of America, the National Indie Excellence Awards and Foreword INDIES.

Schultz was awarded the Silver Medal in Literary from the Military Writers Society of America. The Military Writers Society of America is a nationwide association of authors, poets, and artists. Members of MWSA include those that are active duty military, retirees, or military veterans. Schultz honored the military though her book, resulting in her receiving the silver medal.

Schultz was named the finalist in the National Indie Excellence Awards. The National Indie Excellence Awards demonstrates the overall excellence of an author’s book. The National Indie Excellence Awards focuses on independent authors and publishers and choosing the finalist based of their quality, dedication and impact on their work to others.

Schultz was also awarded the Bronze Medal in the Adult General Fiction category for the Foreword INDIES Book Award. Thousands of entries were submitted and Foreword INDIES chooses 9 finalists per category. Foreword INDIES has over 55 categories to choose from. The Foreword INDIES recognized the best books published in 2019 from independent and university presses, as well as self-published authors.

Schultz has a five-star rating on Amazon, and hosted several events such as teachings, readings and more. Schultz has a lot more in store for the future. Apprentice House is honored and proud of Katey Schultz and Still Come Home.
